In June I was honored to photograph Jay &  Monica’s Notre Dame Stadium Wedding and it was gorgeous! They had their ceremony at St. Monicas Catholic Church in Mishawaka (not every day you get married in a church with your own name!) officiated by Father Jacob; who by my accounts may be the funniest Catholic Priest I’ve ever met!

Jay & Monica met at the Phoenix Bar and Grill, but before going out spent a month playing and communicating with a competitive game of Words with Friends. Monica told me there are so many things she loves about Jay its hard to list just one thing, but if she had to pick it would be his courage when getting through hard times.

Monica walked down the aisle in a lace dress overlaying a nude under layer designed by Madison James and purchased from Greta’s Bridal. The bridesmaids wore a mix of dresses in blush pink and sage green from Greta’s Bridal & Etsy. The groom and groomsmen wore cream colored suites with saddle brown dress shoes from Mens Warehouse. Their rings were from Impress Jewelers & J.R Fox and while the bouquets were DIY the flowers came from Martins Floral Shop. After the ceremony but before the reception we head on over to Notre Dame Stadium where we took the majority of these amazing photos!

They didn’t have a specific theme for their wedding, but Monica knew she wanted natural colors accented by greenery. This was pulled off perfectly with hints of blush, gold and ivory throughout their reception at the Embassy Suites by Hilton across the street from Notre Dame Campus. Their reception was also decorated with many balloon scapes and arches, I’ve honestly never seen such a beautiful and creative use of balloons at a wedding before! Their decor as well as flowers were all DIY by Monica herself with help from her bridesmaid & cousin! I think these ladies should start their own decor business, because they have skills!

The yummy food was catered by Traditions and the cake was by C’Est La Vie Cakes (of course!). The music was provided by Adam from IEntertain, LLC and Monica and Jay danced their first dance to Dan + Shay Speechless.

Monica and Jay’s wedding day was stunning, they had such an amazing support system from friends, to the family and of course the bridal party. Monica told me she couldn’t be more thankful for the bridal party she chose along with her mother and now mother in law through a year of planning there were no arguments between them and she had constant support and help around the clock thanks to them!
