While I knew Jared’s twin sister quite well for several years, I didn’t know Jared as well nor did I know Amy his bride to be at all. When they booked me for their Izaak Walton League Wedding I was so honored they chose me to document their day, I knew it would be just gorgeous.
I love the Izaak Walton League location, as it is set back a long winding path through the woods and almost completely surrounded closely by tall towering trees; it gives a sense of solitude while almost in the heart of South Bend, Indiana. The lodge has rustic charm, which looks just amazing with the decorations Amy picked out and even some Jared made himself such as the wood cupcake tree (with cupcakes from C’est La Vie Cakes) and all of the wood centerpieces! Accented with butterfly’s and twinkle lights it was perfect country chic!
Amy wore a beautiful strapless gown with lace accents, while Jared wore a gray suit with purple tie and pocket square. Amy’s hair was done by Kalon Hair Lab in Mishawaka and makeup was completed by Makeup by Keria on location. Amy wore a pretty pair of heels for the ceremony and switched into cowboy boots for the reception, which worked well with the theme and were probably a tad more comfortable!
Amy worked very hard creating the perfect wedding day for her and Jared, from all the little details including a custom choreographed first dance (with music provided by D&T Productions). You can see the love that the two of them have for each other and it was awesome to be able to not only witness it, but to document it. I wish them the best and a lifetime of perfect memories.
