Anne + Brent | Back Forty Wedding

Almost to the end of my season, Anne & Brent’s Back Forty Wedding in Bourbon Indiana was my second to last of the year!

The pair actually met online, via a mutual friends facebook where they spent many years chatting & of course sharing memes, which turned into texting and eventually meeting up for real. After a few visits in person, they both realized how much they liked one another with Brent expressing his feelings first.

Anne says that Brent is the sweetest and most caring person, that he loves her beyond reason and she’s never been with anyone who has cared for her in this way.

Anne & Brents wedding was a fabulous DIY with a hint of Victorian table scape with oil lanterns, influenced with Harry Potter and just a touch of Christmas to reflect the season.

Anne wore a white strapless ball gown with a sweetheart neckline which she purchased from Treats Bridal Shop in Plymouth, Indiana. Her bridesmaid wore a deep red sequin sheath style dress, also from Treats. She also had a brides man who wore a suit of his own. Brent is a former Marine and chose to wear his dress blues for his wedding day. For their wedding rings they of course went to Jared’s!

Anne’s gorgeous winter bouquet was done by The Garden by Elizabeth from Culver, IN. Their yummy cake was by Martins Bakery and the brides shoes were from Shoe Show.

Many aspects of their day was DIY including the DJ where Anne made the playlist herself and setup a speaker with her phone. They danced their first dance as husband and wife to The World is Ugly by My Chemical Romance. They chose that song for their first dance because “We dated long distance for the first year of our relationship. That song always reminded me of us when we first started dating, having to say goodbye but just wanting the other person to know you love them.”

Their wedding was quaint and romantic, perfect for a Friday afternoon in December! Anne was so happy to have her family there (first time in 8 years everyone was together) to witness her marry the man of her dreams.
