I’m a bit late to the game with some of my blog posts, but in the spirit of the fast approaching New Year I am trying to get my back log caught up! With that tidbit I bring you Beth and Ahren and their Backyard Middlebury Wedding. It was fabulous and quaint all at the same time, with the casual laid back chic you would expect from a country wedding.

Cowboy boots, straw bales, rustic doors and linens made up the decor which were all handmade by Beth and members of her family. Her mom broke out all the stops with a dessert table fit for a Queen and King! No seriously, just wait till you see this cake!

Beth was a referral from a mutual friend and she was looking for a photographer who could come out for maybe just an hour or two to document a few photos. She had a budget, as most brides do, but her’s was even tighter due to having given birth to twins early and dealing with that hardship that comes with NICU babies.

I, having dealt with hospitals and a sick kid for years gave me a soft spot for her situation and I decided that I would photograph most of her day, because everyone deserves photos on their big day and if I think I can help I will. Her boys were home and healthy for the wedding and apple of everyones eye and the love of their big brother as well.

On the afternoon of September 17th their family became complete when Beth and Ahren surrounded by everyone they hold dear professed their love to one another and then it was party time, but not before pictures!

Beth wore an amazing dress she found second hand, a hand me down veil (I just love a long veil!) and Ahren looked dashing in his grey suit. Their flowers were also made by Beth’s mom, a perfect finishing touch!

Beth and Ahren’s wedding day is the kind of weddings I love to photograph, my clients are more then just my clients. They trust to me to capture their memories flawlessly and the day is about them and not the fuss, even though the fuss was gorgeous!
