Good friends? Friends who are clients? Las Vegas Elopement? Halloween?! These are like my favorite things wrapped together and given to me as a gift. Did Christmas come early for me? I think it may have! Danielle and I have known each other for a handful of years and our friendship has gotten stronger as the years have past. When she was planning her wedding with Jon she immediately told me I would be her photographer, which seriously is a major honor!

Then she told me they were going off to Vegas with family and friends in tow to get married by “Gene Simmons” at the Rio. Umm…drop the mic!

So on October 29th I packed up my gear, my kids and the husband and boarded a flight with Danielle and Jon, their family and friends and took off for Las Vegas, NV. The plan was to get married Monday October 31st and do photos the day before, to give us as much time as we wanted and to not overwhelm the day of.

Danielle had a black high low dress custom fitted for herself with straps and it was accented by crystals on the bodice. Her bouquet and Jon’s boutonniere were made from playing cards (by a friend), because thats how you roll in Vegas. Jon donned a classic black on black suit and looked devilishly charming! Danielle had her hair and makeup done on site by Charlene and Cody who had done my hair and makeup in Las Vegas!

We took a drive outside the city first to El Dorado Dry Lake Bed to get some photos with the mountains, it was gorgeous but windy due to the season! It was worth it though. My kids and husband ran around looking for tumble weeds and cool rocks, while I photographed Jon and Danielle and battled the wind. We got some great shots before calling it and driving back to the strip.

We walked around taking photos against the Bellagio Fountains and all the lights of the main strip before heading to old vegas to take advantage of the gorgeous lights at The Plaza, which ended our photo day.

Danielle and Jon tied the not the following day on Halloween at The Rio inside the Live it Loud Wedding Chapel officiated by “Gene Simmons” and all his Kiss glory! They ended the night with dinner at a local off strip pub and cake!

It was a perfect wedding for an amazing couple! I was so glad to get to be along for the ride and to document their day.
